BREAKING: Charlie Kirk Shot at Utah Valley University Event
Reports on the ground confirm that Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, has been shot at a campus event at Utah Valley University. According to witnesses, Kirk was speaking about restricting gun ownership for transgender Americans when a single shot hit him in the neck.
“All of a sudden we heard this firecracker go off, and we’re all like, ‘what is that?’… I was looking at Charlie and I saw something hit him on the neck… he fell to the ground immediately,” Morgan, an attendee at the event, told The American Conservative. “Everyone’s screaming bloody murder, telling us to get down.”
“I was like like ten feet in front of him, by Charlie, and I just see him fall back, over,” another attendee told TAC. “I ducked down at that point, didn’t know if he was going to continue shooting or not… everyone started panicking and running out.”
A witness also told TAC that police officers at the event tackled an older white man, suspected of being the shooter, to the ground after the shot was fired.
